DEFINITIONS OF QUALIFICATION AND MEMBER CATEGORIES

MEMBER companies comprise of businesses that are Event Management/Wedding Planning Companies  – These are defined as services businesses that provide ALL of the services required to design, plan, manage, execute and run an event for corporate, social, weddings or public events, whose clients are primarily other businesses/organisations/associations/charities/individuals. Some of these service businesses may additionally offer rentals/other products.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER companies comprise of businesses that provide one or a few components/products/services/rentals that contribute towards the creation and/or execution of an event. (Associate Members may have multiple products/services under one business).
For example: Rental companies, lighting supply and installation companies, stage and set fabricators, drapers, sound & audio equipment providers, florists, furniture and tableware rental companies etc are businesses that provide a product/service that is a component of an event.

To be eligible, your business must be a legally registered entity in Sri Lanka, operating for a minimum of 5 years and adhering to all government regulations regarding employee EPF and ETF contributions.

Within the last 5 years, your business needs to have completed a minimum of 60 events for each product/service category. (60 events per category/service)

FOR EXAMPLE: If you state your company is a lighting or chair rental company, then you must be able to provide verifiable documentation demonstrating a minimum of 60 lighting installations and 60 chair rentals completed within the past 5 years.

Membership type will be assigned depending on the nature of work information and evidence provided. Please provide true and honest answers.
